Baikonur, Kazakhstan — 10 February 1997: The Soyuz TM-25 prime crew departs for the launch pad wearing Sokol KV-2 suits. German ESA astronaut Reinhold Ewald joins Russians Vasily Tsibliyev and Aleksandr Lazutkin for Mir Expedition 23. After a brief televised interview the trio climb the gantry, wave to officials, and board the spacecraft.
