2. Permitted Use

– Private academic study and institutional research.
– Offline academic presentations, theses, or coursework (non‑public, non‑broadcast).
– Internal use only; strictly no public or commercial distribution.

3. Restrictions & Privacy Compliance

– The footage must not be made available publicly, whether online or offline.
– Licensee must not reproduce, distribute, upload, or share the material in any form without prior written consent from TVDATA Ltd.
– Licensee shall not attempt to reverse, remove, or reduce any applied blurring or otherwise take any measures to attempt to re‑identify any obscured individuals.
– Licensee agrees to comply with the following privacy legislation:
  • Russian Civil Code Article 152.1 (Protection of Image and Privacy)
  • Russian Federal Law No. 152‑FZ “On Personal Data”
  • Russian Federal Law No. 125‑FZ “On Archival Affairs” (75‑year privacy rule)
  • UK Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR (where applicable)
– No attempts shall be made to identify, trace, or contact persons appearing in the footage.
– Use within the territory of the Russian Federation must remain strictly private and non‑public in accordance with the above laws.

4. Data Security & Destruction

– Licensee shall store the Licensed Material on secure, access‑controlled devices or servers.
– No cloud or online storage is permitted unless access is strictly restricted to authorised researchers.
– Upon any earlier termination of this Agreement, Licensee shall permanently delete or destroy all copies of the Licensed Material and confirm deletion to Licensor in writing within thirty (30) days.

5. Editorial Context & Liability

– The footage is licensed “as‑is” for academic and historical study only.
– While some blurring and editorial labelling have been applied, TVDATA Ltd. does not guarantee the absence of indirect identifiers.
– Licensee bears full responsibility for ensuring compliance with institutional ethics boards, local laws, and archival research standards.

6. Indemnity

Licensee shall indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TVDATA Ltd., its officers, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising out of or related to Licensee’s misuse of the Licensed Material or breach of this Agreement.

7. Term & Termination

– This license is non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, and non‑sublicensable.
– TVDATA Ltd. reserves the right to revoke the license immediately upon material breach or reputational risk, whereupon Licensee must comply with Section 4 regarding destruction.

9. Governing Law
